Free route learning for UK train crew
No No Route Learning is a free, community-built resource for traincrew studying route knowledge. Work through a route stop by stop, watch the cab-ride footage, read the notes that matter, and revise offline before your route test.
Route learning is hard to revise from a printed route card alone. This site lays each route out the way you actually drive or work it – every station, junction, tunnel and level crossing in order – so you can build a mental picture of the road before you sign it.
How it works
- Pick your train operating company from the logos at the top of this page.
- Choose the route you are learning from the list.
- Work through it stop by stop, with the junctions, tunnels and level crossings marked along the way, plus any video and route notes that have been added.
- Download the route as a PDF so you can revise it offline, on the move or in the mess room.
There is no account needed and nothing to pay. Every route is free to view.
Southeastern PIS codes
Southeastern traincrew can look up Passenger Information System codes on the PIS Code Finder. Build your calling pattern from the drop-downs and it returns every matching code, along with the full calling pattern exactly as it appears in the official listings. This section is restricted to Southeastern employees.
Add your own routes
The site grows because traincrew add to it. If your operator is not shown above, or a route you know is missing, use Submit a route to add it. New operators appear in the menu automatically once their first route is approved, so adding a route for a TOC that is not yet listed is what puts it on the map.
You do not need to build a whole route in one go – partial routes are welcome, and others can fill in the gaps.
Who it is for
Trainee and qualified drivers, conductors and guards learning a new route, regaining route knowledge after time away, preparing for a route assessment, or refreshing a road they sign but rarely work. It is open to every UK train operating company, not just Southeastern.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no charge, no subscription and no account required to view routes.
Which train operators are covered?
Any UK operator that traincrew have added routes for. The logos at the top of this page show every operator currently available – if yours is missing, you can add it.
Can I use this instead of my official route learning?
No. This is a revision aid to support your route learning, not a replacement for it. Always follow your operator's official route learning process, and check anything here against your company's current documentation before you rely on it.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The site is designed to work on a phone, so you can revise on a jump seat, on a break, or on the way in.
Why "No-No"?
It started as an inside joke among a group of Southeastern conductor trainees who left training school in August 2025. The joke turned into this website, which turned into a route learning resource for the whole industry.
New routes and features are being added regularly. If something is missing or wrong, submit a correction and it will get fixed.
